Publication Score Comments
Vinous 91 Vivid ruby. Smoky and focused on the nose, displaying aromas of fresh red berries, cherry pit, tobacco and cedar. The silky, appealingly sweet and focused palate boasts vibrant redcurrant and raspberry flavors and a hint of bitter rhubarb. Nicely concentrated and balanced. Shows very good energy and lift on a long, smoke-accented finish that's framed by smooth, slow-building tannins.

The Wine Enthusiast 92 Among Genium's fine lineup of 2010 Priorat reds, this one stands out for its schisty nose of cherry, currant and raspberry. A ripe, layered, chiseled palate is tough but rewarding. Cherry, cassis and plum flavors finish fiery and minerally, even by Priorat standards. Drink through 2025.

Wine & Spirits Magazine 95 This is a selection from a 7.4-acre parcel of organically farmed vines, including garnacha (half of the blend), merlot, syrah and a little cariñena. The wine is aged in new and second-use barrels for ten months, but the oak influence is not at all evident. This feels refined, firm and robust, showing spices and earthy notes, together with an electric acidity illuminating everything. With some air, it feels even more complex, delivering aromas of slate and flint. This puts on a show that will only get better with five more years in the bottle, thought it's approachable now with slow-braised beef.
