Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar 92 Vivid red. Mineral-dominated aromas of red berries, cassis and cured tobacco are underscored by smoked meat and baking spices. Lively red and dark berry flavors become sweeter with air but also offer impressive energy and back-end lift. Strikingly fresh and balanced wine, with excellent finishing cling and no rough edges. I suspect that this will reward at least five years of patience.
