This wine is made from 100% Tempranillo, which is well adapted to the region and started to be planted in the 1980s. Fermentation occurs in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at temperature no higher than 80 degrees F. Skin maceration is limited to time during fermentation to yield a generously textured wine. Aged for 3 months in stainless steel tank prior to bottling to allow some tannin to soften.

A nice Tempranillo for the price. Medium dark ruby showing notes of dark cherry and spice on the nose and a soft, perfumed palate of dark cherry, too. Would be rated higher except for a middling mid-palate. Issue 18, August '09
