89 | View from the Cellar | The 2022 Rioja Rosado from Viña Otano is crafted from garnacha and is a pale salmon color. The wine is bright and expressive on the nose, wafting from the glass in a mix of tangerine, a touch of sumac, rose petals, white soil tones and a touch of wild fennel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, succulent and a touch candied in personality, with lovey depth at the core, good soil signature, zesty acids and fine focus and balance and lovely lift on the long finish. Good juice- wish it was bottled under natural cork! 2023-2030. John Gilman - Issue #105 May/June 2023. |

88 | View from the Cellar | The 2023 Garnacha Rioja Rosado from Viña Otano is a lovely, pale salmon color and offers up a bright bouquet of watermelon, tangerine, chalky soil tones and a topnote of orange blossoms. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full-bodied, focused and gently vinous in style, with a good core 50 of fruit, sound framing acids and nice balance and grip on the long and bouncy finish. This is not particularly long on complexity, but hits all the right notes. Good juice. 2024-2026. John Gilman; March – April 2024, Issue 110. |

89 | View from the Cellar | The 2024 vintage of Rioja Garnacha Rosé from Viña Otano is a lovely salmon color and
tips the scales this year at an even thirteen percent octane. The wine is a touch reductive when first opened and greatly benefits from being decanted before serving. Once it stretches its wings, it provides a deep and vibrant bouquet of blood orange, strawberries, a complex base of white soil tones, dried flowers and a hint of spice tones in the upper register. On the palate the wine is fullbodied, focused and juicy, with a good core of fruit, fine balance and grip and a long, reasonably zesty finish. This wine is serious enough to be bottled under natural cork! 2025-2030+. John Gilman, Issue 1117, May– June 2025 |
