Maria Casanovas Cava Brut Nature Pinot Noir

"Intensely perfumed bouquet ...Spicy and precise on the palate, with very good depth... This would stand up to plenty of pink Champagnes." —

91 International Wine Review This vintage brut nature made from 95% Pinot Noir is a sparkling deep pink wine showing considerable complexity of lees, herbs, and ripe red fruit on a dry, creamy palate. It is a wine of considerable richness and substance that would pair well with roast salmon, fowl, and pork. The bottle we tasted was disgorged September 2008 and showed its age.
90 The Wine Advocate As the label indicates, the 2006 Pinot Noir Cava Brut Nature received no dosage. Medium pink in color, it sports an alluring raspberry and strawberry perfume. This is followed by a dry sparkling wine with excellent concentration, ripe flavors, and excellent length. It would make a first-class match with Jamon Iberico.
